Another day with so much potential.
We started with Mass at the Cathedral: beautiful, dark and hot. Mass was in Spanish, and I understood the Gospel and homily! Good to know my Spanish education was worth something. Mass was your typical cathedral Mass: 1 cantor, 4 priests, 4 servers, incense, sung prayers, candles-- the whole shebang. Good experience though.
Beach time. We managed to find a beach that wasn’t terribly crowded and relaxation ensued. The water was awesome- warm with rolling waves. The beach itself was hot, but lent itself nicely to frisbee in the late afternoon.
After taking all the relaxation we could handle we headed to Las Ramblas. Pretty standard shopping district- lots of vendors and lots of people.
Returned home post-Hard Rock dinner to frantically pack.
